Parents' Briefing Session
Thank you parents for taking your time out to attend Last Friday's Parents' Briefing Session. Thank you all for your precious feedback. I have noted them.

From the session, I also understand that some of you are keen to provide additional support for your child in learning at home. These are some ways which you may like to consider:

English Writing
Read Books of Different Genre: Our children get exposed to more story ideas which help to generate content, apply good sentence structures and new vocabulary words in writing. These aid them in writing. They may also like to read model composition books on good writing pieces.
Practise Writing: It can be as simple as keeping a diary and writing daily entries.

Comprehension
Read Short Stories and Ask Questions: After reading a short story, you could ask questions to find out how much your child has understood and made sense of the story. The questions can range from simple, such as answers which can be read off from the story, to more challenging ones, like those that have to be read between the lines or opinion-based questions with no right or wrong answers.
Comprehension Practices: There are books with different formats of comprehension exercises which may help.

Oral: Read Aloud and Stimulus-based Conversation
McOnline Practices: There are good practices on Mconline. Focus on being audible, confident and using correct pronunciation for a start. For stimulus-based conversations practices, there are useful prompts provided to help your child too.

Thank you.
