Wk 9 - Revise for English Class Test (This Thursday, 25 Aug)

Dear Parents and Pupils,


Revise for English Class Test (This Thursday, 25 Aug)
Do note that our children will be having their English CA2 class test on this Thursday. They will have to revise the following components. Our children will be given a class test practice paper and their RWJ tomorrow. They will be told to bring them home for revision.
1) Spelling Lists (Term 1 to Term 3)
2) Subject Verb Agreement (SVA)
3) Sentence Combining
4) Past Tense
5) RWJ: 7 Word Classes
6) Visual Text Comprehension

No PE Lessons on (Wednesday, 24 Aug)
Please note that our school timetable has been suspended for this Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. From today till this Wednesday, our children will have English, Maths, Mother Tongue and Science lessons on every day. Our class will not have PE lessons on this Wednesday. Our children may come to school in full uniform.

Wk 8 - PSLE Oral Days (Tomorrow and Friday, 18-19 Aug) and Homework

Dear Parents and Pupils,


PSLE Oral Days (Tomorrow and Friday, 18-19 Aug)
Our children were given a letter slip informing of the above yesterday. PSLE Oral will be held tomorrow and on Friday. P1-P5 pupils need not attend school on these days.

Homework (Due on Next Monday)
They have, however, been given homework for them to complete over these 4 days before returning to school on Next Monday.
1) Practice Paper: Only Pgs 1-7 (The 2  remaning comprehension exercises will be taught explicitly in class using comprehension skills)
2) My Diary: Pick a day and write about what they have done for the day
3) McOnline: Assignments (Under "Assignments" tab)
*There will be different assignments scheduled on Thursday and Friday. Do log in to check on the 2 days.

Wk 6 - National Day Celebration (Next Monday, 8th Aug)

National Day Celebration (Next Monday, 8th Aug)
Our school will be celebrating National Day on Monday, 8th August. We like to invite all parents to join us for our whole event celebration as well.

Details are as follows:
Reporting Time: 7.25 a.m. as usual
Dismissal Time: 9.45 a.m.
Attire: Red and white attire, with school shoes (There will be a Best National Day Outfit Competition.)
*If your child does not have red and white atire, he/she may come in PE attire.
Things to bring: Small bag, storybook and water bottle

Sign Gifted Education Programme Form (Submit by this Wednesday, 3rd Aug)
Today, our children have received a letter regarding Gifted Education Programme (GEP). Children who are keen to take part in this GEP will sit for 1 English and 1 Maths paper during school hours on Friday, 26th Aug. As this is a selection process for GEP, these papers will be more difficult than those usually assigned in class. I would like to seek your help to discuss with your child is he or she is keen to take part in this GEP, sign and allow your child to submit to me by this Wednesday.
